Theodore Ell

Dr Theodore Ell is an Honorary Lecturer in literature at the Australian National University, where his research bridges Australian and European literature, particularly poetry. Ell shared the 2022 Anne Elder Award for his poetry collection Beginning in Sight and won the 2021 Calibre Essay Prize for his reportage on surviving the 2020 Beirut port explosion. His memoir Lebanon Days will be published in August 2024. Ell's essays, reviews and translations have been published in Australia, the UK, Italy and Lebanon.
